The Ministry is the overarching antagonist of the Roblox game Deepwoken.

History[]

Drowning Celtor[]

The great city of Celtor was one of their most well-known attempts to sink the world. With the city going through hard times, the Ministry offered a contractor by the name of Zi'eer to act as their ruler. While the Celtor were overjoyed to have such a generous and strong leader, their city's fate had already been sealed. Zi'eer proceeded to cause the greatest Great Drowning in history, summoning the Celtorian horror to drag the city to Scyphozia as an offering to the Drowned God Yun'Shul. The monster dragged the city beneath the waves, and though the endeavour failed to convert any of their prophets into gods, the now drowned city became a hub of sorts in Scyphozia, where the Voices of the Deep congregated and tortured those who attempted to escape. They also installed an operative named Nostor in the Varicossa District, spreading their teachings of Shadowcast to the masses.

Their actions lead to the irreparable scarring of the Southern Luminant, turning into a mass of Voidsea, empty of life. It also caused the rising of the Tides, leading to the Adret's migration and indirectly causing the formation of The Central Authority. The world was now sent on a collision course for destruction, the Tides slowly swallowing it as The Depths attempted to claim it.

Drowning the East[]

Continuing in their quest to achieve the power of the gods, a plan was formed. An operative named Belphalos convinced an Etrean their King was corrupt and helped him assassinate him. Though whether the assassination was successful or not is unknown, the King never returned from his voyage into the Voidsea. With the position empty, the Ministry installed Zi'eer, now the Fourth Prophet, as the Lord Regent of Etrea. He quickly altered the minds of every inhabitant of Etris, fabricating false memories and histories in their mind. He then closed the Historical Records office, removing any written documents that contradicted his stories. With the stage now set, he began to rebuild his contractors, sending them to The Depths to murder lost souls as offerings and sent Etrea to war with the Authority, planning to simultaneously cause a big enough catastrophe to cause a new Great Drowning, as well as destroy the only faction that had any idea what they were planning.
