Hi Mamas!
I just realised that baby didn't pee (enough that I noticed) for the last 24 hours.
He is drinking perfectly fine, and has made number 2 quite a few times.
He is nearly 3 days old...
Any input?

I know they say you need to be concerned if the baby doesn't pee in 12 hours. We had almost an exactly 13 hour stretch with no pee, freaked me out, but then he finally went, and has been peeing a lot ever since (he is 10 days old now). I'd contact the pediatrician if I were you

Our little one was not peeing a ton in those first couple days, but it’s now constantly peeing it feels like. But they said it was nothing to worry about in those initial days. If it were to continue then I would just call the doctors.

You may not be noticing it but they probably are peeing with the poopy diapers! Happened to us in the hospital

Lactation consultant said to feed the baby like snack feeds in between regular feeds by putting milk or colostrum on your finger then into their mouth. Or even waking baby up more often to feed.

Do you have the diapers with the blue line indicator for pee? It might sound silly to mention it, but I missed some pees as a FTM. My 1st pooped a lot and I didn't realize she peed at the same time, until I noticed the blue line on the diapers. The nurse had to point it out to me.

did you opt in for a circumcision? The nurses told us that can disrupt a little boy peeing normally for a few days. We have an almost 4 day old circumcised on day 2 and pediatrician wasn’t concerned yet about his lack of peeing (twice yesterday in 24 hrs and only once by the time we saw her for his first visit at 1pm today).
