What an adventure, responding to an “is there a doctor on the airplane” request at 35,000 feet!I got to help a person in need, and our twins got to visit the co*ckpit as a token of appreciation and now have a great memory to keep. #emergencymedicine #gooddeeds #helpingeachother

Gil glad you were on that flight! Curious, did you have a full medical kit on you? I have never had found a real medical kit on board the aircraft when called to help and it would make a difference for sure.

Thanks for stepping up. In-flight emergencies occur in about one in 604 flights, with complaints most commonly ranging from syncope (37 percent of in-flight emergencies) to respiratory issues (12 percent), vomiting (six percent), and cardiac complaints (eight percent).Fight on!https://www.acepnow.com/article/how-to-prepare-for-in-flight-emergencies/

They didn't give you the kit with the plastic stethoscope and pediatric sized blood pressure cuff? 🙂 Glad you were able to help that patient out.
