Using Splunk? We know that these three things are some of the most important and complex parts of being on a Splunk team: 💡Detection creation itself is hard to do. 💡Lifecycle Management is tricky. 💡Correlating across those alerts. Kyle Champlin, Product Manager at Anvilogic, shows us how Anvilogic can be a perfect match for a Splunk team or user and help overcome these challenges. https://lnkd.in/gvNij9ak#threatdetection #threathunting #securityoperations

How Splunk handles Log File Rotation?--> When Splunk reads a log file for the first time, It hashes first 256 bytes and store it as CRC in fishbucket.--> It also stores the location of last line’s information as seekAddress location in fishbucket.--> So, when the same log file is parsed again, Splunk will identify if this file is indexed already and any new lines are added in the file using the information in fishbucket.#splunk #splunkadmin #splunkdeveloper #splunkblogs #splunkengineer #splunklife #dataonboarding #splunkdataonboarding #splunktrainings #splunktutorials #splunkusecases
