Bleached Bones are often found easily in the Dragonfire Peaks, the rocky land of lava and stone. The bones can be found as a block of Dragons skull with a sword on it, loot it by hitting it with your weapon or run it over with your mount.
This item can be used for gardening or crafting mounts. But most important thing it's used for is Bone Dragon Souls made at the dragon crucible at the hub.
Some people recommend the Cursed Vale for bone farming.
There is also a lair(small dungeon) in the Dragonfire Peaks which looks like a vertical tower made of bones with a skull on top of it(Kind of like a rib cage). The name of the lair isBone Dragon Altar.Above the last room(boss) is said skull, on which(or behind which, both are possible) there is a portal. This portal leads to a room in which you will find bleached bones(most of the time, sometimes it's bugged and it's filled with lava or in the middle of a mine). This is believed to be the best/fastest way to farm them effectively.
